> What Do I Do Now?
We are getting a multitude of calls in regards to the potential damage from last week’s less than desirable weather. Most of those calls are centered around will my plants survive, and what do I need to do now? These questions are best answered by what you should NOT do now. Don’t do any pruning now, and don’t fertilize plants now. Plants are under a great deal of stress at this time and fertilization and pruning increase the stress on the plants which can reduce their chance of recovery. Temperatures of this type are not unusual for this time of year, but become unusual and damaging when preceded by temperatures of the type we had for a few weeks prior. (4/18/2007)
